Bulk material transport by 55–65 m³ silo trailers – PHS Magnum

At a glance

Bulk material transport in pneumatic silo trailers — plastic granules (PE, PP, PVC, ABS, PET, PS, PA), recyclates (R-PET, R-HDPE, R-PP), minerals (hydrated lime, talc, bentonite, Tonsil 571 FF) and carbon black. Our own fleet: 26 DAF XF 480 Euro 6 tractors, 31 silo trailers of 55–65 m³, including dedicated food-grade units. ISO 9001:2015, base in Chorula (Gogolin municipality, 4 km from the A4), transport across Poland and the entire European Union (including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Benelux, France, Italy and Scandinavia). We do not transport cement — our specialisation is granules, recyclates and industrial minerals.

How to order bulk material transport — step by step

  1. Enquiry — +48 602 716 551: material type (granulate / recyclate / mineral / carbon black), tonnage, loading and unloading points, date, requirements (e.g. food-grade).
  2. Trailer selection and quote — we assign a trailer dedicated to the category (food-grade, industrial, minerals, carbon black) and provide a quote and the earliest date.
  3. Schedule and trailer positioning — we agree the loading date; regular contracts get a fixed schedule and priority.
  4. Loading and transport — pneumatic loading from a silo or from big-bags; Euro 6 transport (access to DE/AT low-emission zones), e-CMR with photo documentation.
  5. Unloading and documentation — pneumatic discharge at the customer, tank cleanliness certificate (food-grade), batch traceability per ISO 9001:2015.

Bulk material transport — full scope

PHS Magnum specialises in bulk material transport by pneumatic silo trailer across Poland and the entire EU. The fleet: 26 DAF XF 480 Euro 6 tractors, 31 silo trailers of 55-65 m³, including units dedicated to food-grade products and recyclates.

To be clear about our specialisation: we do NOT transport cement — we focus on plastic granules, recyclates and industrial minerals.

Material categories we handle

Plastic granules

PHS Magnum’s core specialisation. Full support for:

  • PE (polyethylene) — HDPE and LDPE, bottles, films, packaging
  • PP (polypropylene) — food packaging, textiles, engineering plastics
  • PVC (polyvinyl chloride) — construction, cable and profile grades
  • PET — bottle-grade granulate (food-grade and industrial)
  • ABS — home appliances, automotive, electronics
  • PS (polystyrene) — packaging, insulation
  • PA (polyamide) — engineering plastics, fibres

Recyclates (regranulates)

The fastest-growing segment following the entry into force of the EU PPWR Regulation (12 August 2026), which mandates recycled content in packaging:

  • R-PET — recycled PET bottle grade, food-grade and industrial
  • R-HDPE / R-LDPE — recycled polyethylene
  • R-PP — recycled polypropylene (the segment with the strongest growth outlook for 2026-2035)
  • R-ABS, R-PS — niche segments

Details: Recyclate transport

Bulk minerals

Industrial materials — mainly for the construction, chemical and cosmetics industries:

  • Hydrated lime — construction and environmental applications
  • Talc — cosmetics, food industry, rubber
  • Bentonite — drilling, foundry and cosmetics industries
  • Tonsil 571 FF — an industrial sorbent
  • Fly ash — construction (clinker substitutes)
  • Quicklime — chemical industry

Details: Bulk mineral transport

Carbon black

An industrial pigment — carried by a separate silo trailer fleet due to its specific nature (colour, contamination risk, strict cleanliness requirements between loads):

  • Carbon black (technical grades) — rubber, printing and cosmetics industries
  • Furnace black — various particle-size specifications

Details: Carbon black transport

What we do NOT transport

A deliberate decision by PHS Magnum — we do not transport materials that:

  • Require specialist cement silo trailers (cement, Portland clinker)
  • Are fundamentally incompatible with our segment (heavily abrasive dusting materials — gypsum, dusting silica)
  • Carry specialist ADR requirements beyond our certification (certain toxic dusts)

A full exclusion list is provided during the ordering process. For materials outside our specialisation, we recommend partner carriers.

Operating standards

Certificates

  • ISO 9001:2015 (DEKRA) — quality management system, certificate current
  • OCS Europe — implementation in progress (Operation Clean Sweep for pellet volumes >1,500 tonnes/year)
  • RecyClass — planned for food-grade recyclates

Procedures

  • Batch traceability (batch number, PCR Content certificate for recyclates)
  • Tank cleanliness certificate (food-grade)
  • Digital CMR (e-CMR) with a loading photo
  • Cleaning procedure between cycles (dry-air blow-through, wet washing when changing category)

Safety

  • On-board Pellet Loss Prevention equipment (scoops, collection bags, funnels) — per EU 2025/2365
  • Drivers trained in PPLP procedures since 2025
  • ADR equipment (for materials requiring classification)

Frequently Asked Questions

The full range: plastic granules (PE/PP/PVC/ABS/PET/PS/PA — our main specialisation), recyclates (R-PET/R-HDPE/R-PP/R-PE — a growing segment after PPWR 2026), bulk minerals (hydrated lime, talc, bentonite, Tonsil 571 FF), carbon black, urea and pulverised coal. We do NOT transport cement, gypsum, flour, animal feed or fine aggregates.

Yes. We run dedicated sub-fleets: 1) food-grade plastic granules (R-PET, bottle-grade HDPE, food PP) — silo trailers that have never carried non-food materials; 2) industrial granules (PVC, ABS, generic PE/PP); 3) minerals (lime, talc, bentonite) — with a reinforced aeration pad structure; 4) carbon black — a separate fleet due to colour and contamination risk.

It depends on the material's density. PE/PP granules (density 0.4-0.6 g/cm³): 25-27 tonnes at 40 t GVW. R-PET (density 1.3-1.4 g/cm³): full capacity = 25 tonnes (GVW limit). Hydrated lime (density 0.5 g/cm³): 24-26 tonnes. Bentonite (1.0 g/cm³): 25 tonnes (GVW limit). Carbon black (density 0.3 g/cm³): 18-20 tonnes.

From our base in Chorula near Opole (4 km from the A4, 180 km to the German border): one working day to most destinations in Germany. Bavaria (Munich): 9-12 hours' driving. North Rhine-Westphalia (Düsseldorf, Cologne): 9-11 hours. Brandenburg/Berlin: 4-6 hours. Adding loading and unloading time, a typical cycle is 12-24 h depending on the route.

The full service: 1) positioning the silo trailer for loading; 2) loading (with operator assistance); 3) CMR transport with documentation; 4) unloading at the customer; 5) a trailer cleaning protocol between cycles; 6) a cleanliness certificate (food-grade); 7) digital CMR (e-CMR) with photo documentation. EU VAT invoice in PLN or EUR.

PHS Magnum is in the process of implementing OCS Europe — required for operators handling >1,500 tonnes of pellets per year under Regulation (EU) 2025/2365 (PPLP). The first external audit is planned for Q3-Q4 2026. Our baseline is ISO 9001:2015 (DEKRA, certificate current), plus an implemented Risk Management Plan.

Yes — the recyclate segment is our priority direction following the entry into force of PPWR 2026. We have silo trailers dedicated to food-grade R-PET, run batch traceability procedures (batch number, PCR Content certificate) and issue a tank cleanliness certificate. PL→DACH recyclate routes: a 12-24 h cycle.
