Kassbohrer manufactures some of Europe’s most popular silo trailers — two all-aluminium series: K.SSK (tipping silo trailer, 40–90 m³) and K.SSL (non-tipping silo trailer, 31–54 m³). PHS Magnum in Chorula provides full Kassbohrer trailer service: paint renovation, pneumatic system repair, pressure vessel inspection with an on-site TDT inspector. Located 180 km from the German border and 4 km from motorway A4, we regularly service fleets from the entire DACH market.
Kassbohrer is a brand with a long history in bulk material transport. The aluminium K.SSK (tipping, hauling powders and granulates — fly ash, coal, sand, cement) and K.SSL (non-tipping, for low-density loads such as cement, flour and food-grade products) silo trailers are a common sight on European motorways — including the A4 running through Poland.

Paint renovation
Both Kassbohrer K.SSK and K.SSL silo trailers have aluminium vessels, so renovation follows an aluminium-appropriate process — not bare-steel blasting. After 8–12 years of operation we perform:
- Gentle abrasive sweep blasting / mechanical key suited to aluminium (no aggressive blasting to bare steel)
- Aluminium degreasing and surface preparation, micro-crack sealing
- Adhesion primer for aluminium
- Two-layer PUR 2K topcoat (50–80 µm/layer)
- Durability: 8–12 years
The chassis, frame and steel running-gear components are treated separately with anti-corrosion coatings.
Pneumatic system
- Pneumatic hose repair and replacement
- Discharge valves — service, replacement
- Aeration pads — replacement (all types for silo trailers)
- Compressor and air filter
- Safety valves — legalisation and replacement
TDT pressure vessel inspection
On-site TDT inspection with inspector at the workshop:
- External (every 3 years): pressure test, armature, documentation
- Internal (every 6 years): same + vessel opening
Running gear and suspension
- Air bellows replacement
- Brakes and drums
- LED lighting upgrade
- Shock absorbers, stabiliser rods
Why DACH fleets service trailers in Poland
The hourly rate for a silo trailer specialist at PHS Magnum is many times lower than at authorised Kassbohrer dealers in Germany or Austria. For paint renovation and TDT inspection taking 7–14 days, the service cost saving often covers the entire cost of transporting the trailer from Germany to Poland and back.
