In Brief
TDT and WDT inspections for tanker trucks — TDT (Transport Technical Inspection) for dry bulk tanks, WDT (Military Technical Inspection) for liquid and ADR tankers. PHS Magnum prepares fuel tankers (class 3), chemical tankers (6.1, 8, 9) and food-grade tankers: armature service, TIG welding, ADR documentation, inspector coordination. Trailers from Germany and Austria accepted. Tel: +48 504 788 385.
TDT and WDT Inspections for Tanker Trucks
PHS Magnum prepares tanker trucks for TDT and WDT testing. We service tankers for liquid, chemical and hazardous (ADR) materials.
TDT vs. WDT — What Is the Difference?
In Poland, tankers fall under different supervisory bodies depending on the medium transported:
| Authority | Scope | Inspection frequency |
|---|---|---|
| TDT (Transport Technical Inspection) | Pressure vessels on vehicles — silos, cement tankers, dry bulk pressure tanks | External inspection every 2 years, pressure test every 6 years |
| WDT (Military Technical Inspection) | Liquid tankers, ADR tankers, LPG | Intervals set individually by the authority |
For combination vehicles (e.g. silo trailers with ADR authorisation), both bodies may have jurisdiction. PHS Magnum coordinates the documentation for such cases.
Preparation Scope
- Tank leak test — pneumatic and hydraulic pressure test to applicable standards
- Repair and replacement of armature: drain valves, bottom outlets, safety valves, pressure relief valves
- Tank welding (TIG/MIG) — certified welders, documented to EN ISO 15614
- Inspection and repair of the breathing system (vent valves, dip tubes, breathing valves)
- Internal coating inspection and renewal — relevant for food-grade and chemical tankers
- Documentation: repair protocols, material certificates, welding certificates, coating records
- ADR marking update — orange hazard boards, UN class symbols
Tanker Types Serviced
PHS Magnum prepares the following tanker categories:
- Fuel tankers — ADR class 3, steel with coating or aluminium
- Chemical tankers — ADR classes 6.1, 8, 9 (corrosives, toxic, miscellaneous)
- Food-grade tankers — 316L stainless steel, FDA-certified seals
- Pneumatic dry bulk tankers — silos and cement trailers subject to TDT
- Vacuum tankers — industrial wastewater and residues
What DACH Operators Should Know
Many German and Austrian operators use our facility for tanker revisions because of shorter lead times and more competitive pricing compared to domestic service centres, with no compromise on documentation quality. Every TDT or WDT document issued by PHS Magnum is accepted by German registration authorities and insurers.
Process for foreign vehicles:
