PHS Magnum is the link between a supplier packing in big-bags and a factory receiving in bulk silo trailers. We accept material in big-bags, octabins or 25 kg bags and deliver it to the plant in a silo trailer, ready for pneumatic discharge onto the production line.

All operations under ISO 9001:2015. No risk of granule degradation from pneumatic conveying.

How transloading works — step by step

  1. Incoming inspection — each big-bag or octabin is checked for correct labelling, seal integrity and contamination before feeding.
  2. Unloading — forklift, enclosed hall (weather-independent operation).
  3. Screening — material passes through a cleaning sieve eliminating agglomerates and solid contaminants.
  4. Loading into the silo trailer — gravity feed, no pneumatic conveying. Zero contact with metal pipes under pressure.
  5. Documentation — delivery note, weighing certificate, ISO 9001:2015 quality protocol.

Why no pneumatic conveying — and why that matters

Pneumatic conveyors operate at 20–40 m/s and cause:

  • Grain breakage and abrasion — fines are generated, causing customer complaints
  • Electrostatic charging — friction against metal pipe builds charge in certain polymers
  • Contamination — residues from previous material in the conveyor
  • Agglomeration — compressed air carries moisture harmful to PA, PE in some grades

Our gravity transloading eliminates all these risks.

Packaging formats accepted

  • Big-bag / FIBC — 500–1,500 kg, with or without liner
  • Octabins — 200–500 kg cardboard containers
  • 25 kg bags — paper, film, textile
  • 20’ and 40’ sea containers — accepted directly on site
