In brief
Port-to-Plant replaces five contracts with one service: we collect your container of polymer pellets in Gdańsk, Gdynia or Szczecin, haul it to our site in Chorula next to the A4 motorway, devan it, store the goods, transfer the material from sacks, big-bags or octabins into a silo trailer and deliver it to a plant in Poland or anywhere in the European Union. Your customer receives raw material in bulk, ready for pneumatic discharge into a silo — you deal with one partner, one invoice and full traceability of every lot.

Process overview
Every stage happens at one location — except the port leg, which we carry out with trusted, long-standing transport partners. The devanning hall, the warehouse, the transfer bay and the silo trailer fleet are on one site in Chorula, 4 km from the A4 motorway junction.
The stages in detail
1. Container pick-up at the port and haulage to Chorula
We collect 20’ and 40’ containers from the container terminals in Gdańsk, Gdynia and Szczecin. The haulage to Chorula is carried out with trusted, long-standing transport partners we work with on regular volumes. We watch the pick-up slots, free time and demurrage, and the return of the empty box to the depot — you receive a single confirmation: the container is in Chorula.
2. Container devanning
In the covered hall we unload pallets of 25 kg sacks, big-bags or octabins from the container. We use our own 3.5 t and 5 t forklifts, so we handle light pallets of sacks and heavy big-bags alike. During devanning we count and label every load unit, check the condition of the packaging and record the container seal number.
3. Warehousing
The goods go into a covered, dry warehouse with an industrial floor holding up to 2,000 big-bags. We run FIFO rotation and, for urgent deliveries, cross-docking straight from the container into the silo trailer. The warehouse and hall are under 24/7 CCTV. Thanks to the buffer you can bring containers in larger batches while your customer receives raw material in the rhythm of its production.
4. Bulk transfer into the silo trailer
This is the heart of the service. Material from 25 kg sacks, big-bags or octabins is transferred by gravity — no pneumatic conveyors, so the pellets are neither broken nor electrostatically charged. The stream passes through a cleaning screen that retains lumps and solid contaminants. Every lot is weighed, and each silo trailer leaves with a delivery note and a transfer protocol compliant with ISO 9001:2015.
- Big-bags and octabins: hall throughput up to 200 t per day; one silo trailer (approx. 25 t) in 2–4 hours.
- 25 kg sacks on pallets: manual gravity transfer, sack by sack, with every pallet checked. The pace depends on the number of pallets and the polymer, so the schedule for sacks is agreed individually when we quote.
The technical side of the transfer itself is described on the big-bag and octabin transloading page.
5. Silo trailer delivery to the plant
The silo trailer leaves Chorula behind our own tractor unit. The PHS Magnum fleet consists of 26 DAF XF Euro 6 tractors and 31 silo trailers of 55–65 m³, with a payload of 25–27 t depending on the bulk density of the polymer. We operate across Poland and the whole EU under a Community licence. At the consignee’s plant the driver discharges the trailer pneumatically into the silo — no pallet handling, no packaging waste on the production side. More about the fleet: bulk material transport by silo trailer .
6. Full traceability
From breaking the container seal to sealing the silo trailer, every action leaves a trace: seal number, unit count, lot weights, delivery note, ISO protocol. The hall and warehouse are monitored, and the video record of devanning, storage and transfer is archived — in case of a claim we can replay the history of a specific lot right up to the seal on the trailer.
Who it is for
The service is designed for importers and distributors of polymer pellets who bring material in sea containers and want to sell it to Polish and European converters in bulk, delivered by silo trailer, without building their own warehousing in Poland. We handle PE, PP, PVC, ABS, PET, PS, PC and PA pellets as well as regranulates and recycled compounds.
A typical scenario
An international PP and PE distributor imports material in 40’ containers via Gdańsk. The pellets are packed in 25 kg sacks on pallets — 60 sacks, i.e. 1.5 t per pallet, 17 pallets per container (approx. 25.5 t). That is around 25 containers and around 600 t per month. The end customer — a converter in western Poland — takes one silo trailer (approx. 25.5 t) every day, Monday to Friday, under an annual contract.
In this model containers travel from the port to Chorula in batches, the buffer warehouse smooths out the difference between vessel schedules and production rhythm, and every working day one silo trailer leaves for the plant. The distributor settles with one partner; the consignee only sees regular, sealed bulk deliveries.
Why Magnum
- One partner, one contract. Port, haulage, devanning, warehouse, transfer and delivery — without coordinating several subcontractors.
- Continuity on annual volumes. Regular contracts are planned as a fixed calendar — for example a daily silo trailer Monday to Friday — with the warehouse buffer covering vessel delays.
- 4 km from the A4 junction. From Chorula we reach Silesia, Lower Silesia, Greater Poland and Western Europe quickly.
- ISO 9001:2015. Certificate no. 000221041/2 issued by DEKRA Certification Sp. z o.o., a body accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA); valid until 11 April 2027. The certificate scope covers road freight transport, forwarding, logistics and warehousing services as well as transloading of bulk goods into silo trailers — exactly this chain. The document can be downloaded from the certifications page.
- Over 30 years of experience. A family business operating since 1991, with its own fleet and its own site.
- Own fleet and own hall. We do not rent bays or trailers — we control every stage except the container haulage from the port.
How to prepare your enquiry
So that we can quote completely at the first attempt, please tell us:
- packaging format — 25 kg sacks on pallets, big-bags (unit weight) or octabins;
- container type and count — 20’ or 40’, per month;
- monthly volume in tonnes;
- delivery frequency to the consignee — e.g. one silo trailer per day, three per week;
- the consignee’s postcode (or postcodes);
- planned start date and contract period — e.g. an annual contract.
We reply by the next business day (within 24 hours).
