Spitzer SF vs SK — Which Parts Differ?
The two main series differ in discharge architecture, and that changes the wear parts you order:

When ordering aeration pads, always specify SF or SK. Pad dimensions and mounting systems differ between the two series, and substituting an SF pad into an SK body (or vice versa) will result in incorrect seating and potential discharge failure.

Aeration Pads — The Most Replaced Consumable
Aeration pads are the single most frequently replaced component during TDT inspection preparation for Spitzer trailers. Pads that show delamination, porosity or cracking allow air to bypass the material bed during discharge, causing incomplete emptying and pressure loss. TDT inspectors check pad condition visually — failed pads are flagged in the inspection protocol and must be replaced before re-certification.
PHS Magnum stocks PP fabric and PTFE-grade pads for the full Spitzer SF and SK range. If you do not know the exact pad specification for your trailer, provide the serial number and we will identify the correct part.

- Spitzer model (SF or SK) and year of manufacture
- Serial number (from the TDT plate or tank passport) — preferred
- For aeration pads: pad position (front, middle, rear) if known
- For valves: connection size (DN 100/125/150) and connection type
