Seal Material Selection Guide
Choosing the wrong seal material is a common source of leaks and contamination claims:
- EPDM — dry bulk and cement transport; good heat and weather resistance; not oil-compatible
- NBR — oil-contaminated environments; not recommended for food applications
- FPM (Viton) — chemicals, aggressive media; highest temperature range
- FDA food-grade silicone — food and pharmaceutical applications; mandatory for EUT trailers in contact with food
Provide the Feldbinder model and the transported medium and we will specify the correct material.
Material Certificates We Issue
With every EUT-relevant part we issue a delivery note listing the material standard, batch number and applicable food-grade certification. Operators running food-grade loads generally need that paper trail in the vehicle file, so we supply it by default rather than on request.
Orders — How to Place One
To ensure correct part selection:
- Provide the Feldbinder model (EUT, KIP, EUT/A) and year of manufacture
- Add the serial number from the TDT data plate if available
- For seals: specify the transported medium
- For unknown configurations: send a photo of the part to be replaced
