In short
Hauliers and construction firms rarely run a uniform fleet. Alongside silo trailers for dry bulk run tankers, while concrete pumps work on site. PHS Magnum in Chorula near Opole (4 km from the A4) services all of them at one base: a shared TDT schedule, certified welding and mobile service. One contact instead of five — less downtime, one set of documents.
A mixed fleet is the norm
A carrier hauling PE/PP granulate by silo trailer often also runs tanker contracts, and a construction firm combines bulk material haulage with concrete pump work. Each group has its own equipment but shared service denominators: steel structures to weld, pressure systems and — crucially — TDT supervision.
Three things that bind a mixed fleet
1. Shared TDT supervision
A silo trailer’s pressure vessel and a concrete pump are both under TDT. Instead of separate dates, we run one TDT inspection calendar for the whole fleet.
2. Certified structural welding
The same certified welders (ISO 9606-2 for aluminium tanks, ISO 9606-1 for steel) restore silo trailer tanks and — on concrete pumps — boom structures.
3. One operating base
The base by the A4 combines service, base rental and mobile service in one location, 4 km from the junction.
What we service across the PHS Magnum network
- Spitzer silo trailers — full service at spitzer.pl .
- Feldbinder silo trailers — stainless steel and fittings at feldbinder.pl .
- Concrete pumps — Putzmeister, Cifa, Schwing repairs at pompydobetonu.pro ; see also mixed fleet: concrete pump and pressure trailers .
- Dry bulk transloading — big-bag → silo trailer at smiala.com , 200 tonnes per day without pneumatics.
Less downtime, one invoice
For a fleet manager, availability is everything. One service for a mixed fleet means: one call instead of five, one TDT plan, one set of documentation, shorter total downtime. With a base 4 km from the A4 junction, access from Silesia and the DACH region is fast.

The practical difference: one service point vs. multiple specialists
Managing a mixed fleet across separate service providers creates friction that accumulates over time. A concrete example:
Scenario A — two separate providers:
- Silo trailer service: schedule with Provider A, deliver trailer, wait, collect, invoice A.
- Concrete pump TDT: schedule with Provider B (specialised in pumps), deliver, wait for inspector, collect, invoice B.
- Total: 2 trips, 2 schedules, 2 TDT calendars to track, 2 sets of documentation.
Scenario B — PHS Magnum one-stop:
- Both arrive in Chorula at the same time.
- While the silo trailer is in for pneumatic service and TDT preparation, the concrete pump is inspected for boom weld condition.
- One TDT inspector appointment for both pressure vessels.
- One invoice, one trip per service cycle.
For operators running 3–10 vehicles across types, the difference in coordination effort compounds each year.
What “TDT” means for each equipment type
TDT (Polish Technical Supervision) covers pressure equipment on road vehicles. In a mixed fleet, this applies to:
| Equipment | TDT scope | Inspection interval |
|---|---|---|
| Silo trailer | Pressure vessel (tank + pneumatic system) | Every 2 years |
| Cement tanker | Pressure vessel | Every 2 years |
| Concrete pump (boom) | Hydraulic pressure circuit + boom structure | Every 2 years |
| Concrete pump (trailer) | Pressure vessel | Every 2 years |
PHS Magnum holds TDT authorisation covering all of the above categories. TDT contact: mgr inż. Roland Sobota — +48 504 788 385.
Mobile service — when the fleet comes to you
Not all maintenance requires a trip to Chorula. PHS Magnum’s mobile truck service covers the Opole, Krapkowice, Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Strzelce Opolskie areas. Typical mobile interventions for a mixed fleet:
- Pneumatic fault on a silo trailer at a bulk terminal — mobile repair on site.
- Concrete pump hydraulic fault at a construction site — mobile diagnosis and temporary fix.
- A4 breakdown for either type — mobile response, typically 45–110 minutes from call.
Larger repairs (welding, TDT-related, full pneumatic overhaul) require the workshop in Chorula.
Facts about PHS Magnum’s own fleet
PHS Magnum operates its own fleet of 26 DAF XF 480 Euro 6 tractor units and 31 silo trailers (55–65 m³). This means our mechanics service the same equipment types daily that we repair for customers — not in theory but in daily workshop practice. The fleet-based knowledge translates directly into faster diagnosis and fewer repeat visits for the same issue.
