PHS Magnum — a family business since 1990
Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo-Spedycyjne „Magnum" s.j. has operated in Chorula near Opole, Poland, since 1990. Over more than three decades we have built two specialisations that remain unique on the Polish market: servicing specialist trailers and transloading bulk materials from big-bags into silo trailers — complemented by our own silo trailer transport and TDT inspections under one roof.
The philosophy is simple: one phone number, every trailer problem solved. When a tractor unit is standing idle, every hour costs money — so mechanics, a welding shop, a paint shop, TDT inspection and transport all operate at a single location, without sending the customer from one workshop to another.
A family business run by two generations — the co-owners are Jacek Pasternak and Aleksy Pasternak (father and son). Operations are led by Aleksy Pasternak.
Location
Chorula, Opole Voivodeship, Poland — 4 km from the A4 motorway junction at Gogolin. One of Poland’s most important east–west transit corridors runs through Chorula: the A4 route linking the domestic market with plants in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. The German border is 180 km away.
Manoeuvring yard and access for vehicle combinations up to 25.25 m and 40 t. Parking available for customers’ waiting vehicles.
What we do
Silo trailer and specialist trailer service
A service hall with 14 work bays — specialising in cylindrical trailers. We service Spitzer, Feldbinder, Kassbohrer and trailers of other makes. Scope: accident repairs, TIG aluminium welding, Wabco/Haldex EBS diagnostics, paintwork renovation. Our own fleet of 26 DAF XF 480 tractors is our workshop’s first customer — the mechanics work on live vehicles every day.

TDT inspections
Over 30 years of TDT authorisations for preparing and supporting inspections of the pressure vessels of silo trailers, tankers and concrete pumps. The TDT inspector comes to our base — the customer does not queue for an external appointment.

Bulk material transport by silo trailer
Our own fleet of 26 DAF XF 480 Euro 6 tractors and 31 silo trailers of 55–65 m³ hauls PE/PP/PVC/ABS/PET granulates, R-PET/R-HDPE/R-PP recyclates, hydrated lime, talc, bentonite and Tonsil 571 FF across Poland and the entire EU. Euro 6 — unrestricted access to DACH low-emission zones. ISO 9001:2015.

Big-bag → silo trailer transloading (SMIALA terminal)
The SMIALA terminal in Chorula handles 200 tonnes per day of PE/PP granulate and other bulk materials transloaded from big-bags into silo trailers by gravity — no pneumatic conveying, no fractionation. Warehouse capacity: 2,000 big-bags.
